The Old School

The school was built in 1876, shortly after the Education Act of 1870. It remained in use for nearly 100 years, closing in 1973 when the staff and children moved to a new school on land previously owned by the Horsfords, and named after Mrs Eileen Wade who was then chair of the Governing Body.
