Dean Art Show

Dean Art Show was the brainchild of the late Mr Ted Woods, a well-known local artist, who lived opposite the Church. Initially he provided many of his own works, and encouraged local artists to contribute.

The Show has traditionally taken place in the first weekend in August. Initially it co-incided with Dean Flower Show, but that has since relocated to another time, so there are now two separate events.

The number of paintings has grown steadily each year, and ceramics and craft items have recently been added. The organisers are keen to make sure that paintings are priced from only a few pounds upwards.

A Friday evening preview, open to all, at which paintings can be bought and a glass of wine purchased has been introduced in the last 4 years and has proved very popular. If you wish to have the best choice, don't leave your visit to Saturday.

If wish to receive an invitation to the Friday night preview for the next show, please send me an email.
